Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. There are an estimated 21 million people worldwide who are labor/sex trafficking victims. Sadly, Houston is a major hub of trafficking activity in North America.

HCC partners with Free the Captives, a Christian legal organization that aims to (i) educate the community, (ii) prevent and intervene in the trafficking of at-risk teens, (iii) reduce the demand and (iv) pursue legal remedies to combat trafficking. Through this partnership, we have been able to provide medical services, home cooked meals, and financial support for FTC while also raising awareness of human trafficking in the congregation.
