The Legacy of a Building

Houston Chinese Church’s vision is to be an urban Chinese heritage church in central Houston that reaches all those in our lives, Chinese or otherwise, through equipping, sending, and church planting.

For nearly fifty years, HCC has been proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and making disciples in His name. By God’s grace, we’ve enjoyed years of fruitful ministry among immigrants and transplants – all drawn to central Houston by key institutions like the Texas Medical Center, Rice University, University of Houston, and the downtown core. After a season of vision casting, we’ve concluded that the Lord is calling us to remain in this strategic location and to deepen and broaden our gospel impact in central Houston.

Our building project is birthed out of this vision. The goal is to create a sacred space for the worship of our great God and the advancement of gospel ministry. We want our newly expanded and renovated building to serve as a training center that equips individuals and families rooted in the area; a launching pad that sends out students, young professionals, and missionaries; and a nesting ground that plants out new churches.

With this vision in mind, we challenge you to give generously and to leave the legacy of a building that can preserve a gospel witness and advance the kingdom’s cause in central Houston and to the ends of the earth!

We have a God-sized goal to fully raise $25 million towards the renovation and expansion of our current facility.
