In this passage, the only depiction of Jesus as a boy, we learn key lessons from his example. Jesus showed us through his obedience not only to his Heavenly Father but also to his earthly parents, we are to follow him in surrendering both the practical, mundane duties and the spiritual, more devoted aspects of our lives wholly and completely to God.
