Not long after experiencing the greatness of God's deliverance at the Red Sea, the Israelites find themselves grumbling. This episode in the wilderness serves to illustrate the difficultly even God's people have in trusting him to provide for our daily needs. His response is to test us – not to see if we'll pass or fail – but to teach us to trust and obey.
