We come to the end of this narrative in Exodus. It started with God's people breaking the covenant by making the golden calf and ends with God renewing this covenant as a response to a plea from Moses. Moses' shining face is sign of God renewing the covenant. While this is a great and awesome thing, we must see that his shining face is only a shadow of a greater covenant to come.
