Why did you come into this world? That’s actually a ridiculous question to ask any of us. None of us had a particular purpose. None of us had a say in the matter. We were just born. It just happened to us. But Jesus is different. Like us, he was born. But unlike us, he decided to come into this world. He had a purpose. This purpose is addressed in our text under two broad categories: consolation and confrontation.
