The trouble brewing in the church of Corinth was evident by the factions that had developed around particular church leaders. Underlying that kind of fleshly behavior is a significant misunderstanding of Christian leadership. We would do well to avoid the same mistakes of building a church with an unhealthy reliance on ministers, methods, and ministries that are contrary to the foundational message of Christ crucified.
