A Better Salvation | Hebrews 5:11-6:12
Preached By Jason Tarn
Bible Book(s): Hebrews

The book of Hebrews is chock-full of warnings. The warning in this text is the most alarming of them all. It seems to suggest that, if a Christian fell away from the faith, it would be impossible to restore them again to repentance. This teaching appears to undermine all assurance of salvation, and yet the author asserts in chapter 6:11 that his desire is for his readers to “have the full assurance of hope until the end.” How do we reconcile the author’s dire warning and his desire for our full assurance?
