The book of Acts began in Jerusalem and ends in Rome. But according to chapter 1:8 a gospel witness needs to reach the ends of the earth. So when the book abruptly concludes with Paul in Rome, we as readers are left with an implicit invitation and challenge to pick up where it left off and take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
